Specialty toll compounding in France, for the formulations standard extrusion can't handle

The compounding step you were missing.

BUSS co-kneaders, twin-screw reactive extrusion, viscous liquid injection and non-dusting blends across 18+ lines in Normandy. We run your recipe under NDA, from lab trial to production campaigns, on the same line configuration and with the same team.

Why companies call us

Companies come to us for one of three reasons: their lines are full, they need a second source, or they want to test a formulation without investing first.

  1. 01

Innovation, market entry, EU production base

    Test my formulation
    Pain
A new formulation looks promising but unproven, and nobody wants to sign the CAPEX before the market answers.
    Gain
Lab trial, scale-up and first campaigns on production-scale lines, with EU-made supply from day one.
    ROI
Market validated before investing, shorter time-to-market, less exposure to import barriers.
  2. 02
    Pain
Your lines are full. Maintenance, secondary grades or a product changeover eat prime capacity.
    Gain
We run your secondary grades or overflow campaigns to your spec, so your own lines stay on your core products.
    ROI
No CAPEX, a variable cost per kilo, and sales you would otherwise turn down.
  3. 03

    Back-up line for unplanned disruption

Get a back-up line on standby
    Pain
An extruder breaks down, a supplier fails, demand spikes. Your customers still expect their pellets.
    Gain
A second source qualified in advance, producing the same formulation to the same specification.
    ROI
Downtime and contractual penalties avoided, and a business-continuity plan you can show your auditors and customers.

Deglobalisation and import barriers make an EU production base more valuable every year, and grid electrification is pushing HFFR cable-compound demand beyond many producers' in-house capacity. Our AEO customs status keeps cross-border flows simple.

Who we work with

Read the chain from left to right. On the left, the raw materials: resins, powders and additives from resin producers, additive suppliers, and bio-based or recycled feedstocks from recyclers. In the centre, Polytechs: the compounding step that turns those inputs into an engineered compound. On the right, the outlets: film converters, cable makers, construction profile extruders, pipe producers and fibre manufacturers.

How a project runs

Every project follows five steps, and the NDA always comes first.

From lab batch to mass production on the same line configuration, with the team that will run your campaigns.

Start with the NDATwin-screw compounding line in the Polytechs plant
  1. Step 01

    Bilateral NDA

We sign a mutual NDA before you share any recipe or technical data.

  2. Step 02

    Feasibility assessment

Our engineers review your formulation and tell you which line configuration fits it.

  3. Step 03

    Lab trial

We run a first batch and test it in our own lab.

  4. Step 04

    Scale-up trial

We confirm the process on production-scale equipment against your specification.

  5. Step 05

    Campaigns

We produce your campaigns with the team that ran the trials.

Your formulation stays yours

  • Bilateral NDA signed before any recipe is shared.
  • Your formulation and your product IP remain yours. Our process know-how stays ours. Both are written into the toll agreement.
  • Raw materials and finished lots traced batch by batch.
  • Access to your project data limited to the team running it.

Frequently asked questions

Q.01What is toll compounding?

Toll compounding means we compound your formulation on our lines, to your specification. You keep the recipe and the product IP; we supply the equipment, the process know-how and the team.

Q.02How do trials scale to production?

Lab trials use the same line configuration as the production campaigns that may follow.

Q.03Do you sign an NDA before looking at my formulation?

Yes. A bilateral NDA is the first step of every project, before any recipe or technical data is shared. Please do not send confidential recipes before it is signed.

Q.04Which processes do you run?

BUSS co-kneaders, co-rotating twin-screw extruders, compaction lines for non-dusting blends, pilot lines, liquid injection, underwater and air-cut pelletizing, across 18+ production lines.

Q.05Can you act as a back-up line if my own extruder stops?

Yes. We can qualify your grade in advance so a second source is ready to produce the same formulation to the same specification if your line stops.

Q.06Which polymers can you process?

Polyolefins, engineering polymers, fluorinated polymers, epoxy resins, acrylics, rubbers, styrenics, TPEs (TPU, TPE-E, TPV, TPS, TPA), bio-based, biodegradable and recycled polymers.
